It was all a dream
How it all began
Moddy began when an Australian occupational therapy company and a small group of developers asked a simple question. Could designing home modifications be easier than it is today.
Plenty of coffee, lots of video calls and a fair few late nights followed. Moddy was born.
From the start we cared about being the best home modification design software we could be. Many of our best ideas have come from the people who use Moddy every day.
Moddy meets Foundations
In 2023, during a visit to Australia, Paul Smith from Foundations in England met with Scott from Moddy. They talked about how simple drawings could speed up Disabled Facilities Grants and other home adaptations in the United Kingdom.
We kept in touch as the app developed and tested new features with services in both countries. By 2025 we agreed the time was right to bring Moddy to the United Kingdom, with Foundations as our UK partner.
Today Moddy is shaped by feedback from Australian and UK teams so it works in real homes, not just in theory.
